Marshfield
Civic Band
The Marshfield Civic Band is open to all interested musicians from the immediate Marshfield, Wis. area, as well as from outlying areas. In the past, we had one member who lived approximately 50 miles from Marshfield. No auditions are necessary, however, it is expected that prospective new members have had some prior experience in playing an instrument, in most cases, with another band or group, and must at least be entering the ninth grade, if still in school. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the conductor. The only other requirements are a desire to perform and a love of music.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesday
evenings, starting promptly at 7 PM and generally run until 8:30-9
PM. They
start in
early May and run through the month of July. Rehearsals are held in
Room 332 of the Helen Conner Laird Fine Arts Building, located on the
University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County campus at 2000 W. 5th
Street in
Marshfield, WI.
